From the mill to your table
In the heart of Sicily, far away from the noise of mass tourism, the extra-virgin olive oil named "Kalos" is produced by means of biological agriculture. This extra virgin olive oil is obtained by the cold pressing of olives without any filtering procedure. The hand-picking of the olives, which takes place between the month of october and november, and the milling within 12 hours from the hand-picking, guarantees the authenticity of taste and the uniqueness of this essential ingredient in modern and traditional cuisine. The excellent organoleptic properties, low acidity and yellow-gold reflex make the "KALOS" oil unique.
The olive grove from which we get the extra virgin olive oil "KALOS" from organic farming is situated on a height of about 450 m asl.
The wide variety of olives under crop are all exclusively sicilian.
The farm "KALOS" grows also almonds and walnuts from organic farming respectful of nature.
According to the myth, Sicily has been the first region which received the olive tree from Aristeo, son of Apollo and Cyrene, who taught Sicilian people how to extract oil from the plant. During the Roman Empire the production of oil became blooming. The history, the tradition, the respect of nature are blended nowadays in the extra virgin olive oil "KALOS" from organic farming, turning into a product having a unique taste.
